Bikes: Leader

You Tube Video

Bike in video is a confirmed 2007 Leader 735TR repainted in white. We have sold over 50 track frames in Japan and have a dealer there as well. We are looking to make a special edition 735TR white frame with minimal, small decals mid summer. We will be coming out with a very high end double butted lugged steel frame. I do not have more info on the lugged frame so do not ask but in the time to come i will be posting more info. For the 720TR we will have a matching full aluminum aero fork that can be beat up on the street.

Here is a shot of the new 2008 frame and new aero alloy fork. 735TR be in stock by the end of the month fork in three weeks. keep checking www.leaderbikeusa.com for more info.

We will also be supporting and advertising on this site soon.

Bikes: Leader

If our profit margin was higher I am sure we could work in some kind of a discount. $289 for the 735TR or $149 for the 720TR is already set very low.

Not too sure the point of the video...but it's a good reference for the concept of blickblocks' idea of how their bike will look.

Now that I'm more set on what I want to build...think the Mutant stem looks good or not? I almost want to build up a white rear wheel so the color is entirely limited to the stem.

I'm disappointed that there aren't many other people with bike sketches.

edit: here it is with the white Deep-V

What do you think would look better? That doesn't look like a plain black tube of aluminum?

A bit different from a lot of the current builds being discussed, but hey this is the FGSS subforum not the track forum but I want to go with a SS/FG mountain bike (already have my fixed road bike). Assuming it doesn't throw off the geometry too much I may go with a 69'er (26" in back 29" in front).

Haro Escape A2 Frame (Its silver and has a beautiful curved top tube)
Replacing suspension fork with rigid straight blade Zion fork.
Replace mountain wheelset with cyclocross wheelset flip flop hub in rear.
Cyclocross knobbies
Keep current crank although drop the granny ring and throw on a bash guard if possible.

I haven't decided on the cockpit yet. Currently since it is setup as my aggressive mountain bike (I'm switching to full suspension so hence the want to rebuild this into a SS/FG) so it has wide AM/DH risers. Anyone have any suggestions on the bars or stem? Maybe go back to a flat bar? Shallower risers? I want to really be able to cruise fast on less technical terrain, fire roads, etc.

that 735 is SO attractive, I take back anything I have said about leader frames being ugly. for 289 it cant be beat, though I'd like to see it in white.

I think I'm going to try using some anatomical drops instead of my bullhorns. More hand positions plus a proper track look. And I get to use the Tiagra brake lever I found in the gutter (literally) on Western Ave in Allston.

But but but those are the only parts I have!

I could put my Lambda-V in front but that's not going to make it look better. Unless the fork is also polished. Which I don't think it is.

It was supposed to ship out yesterday but Brian (LeaderBike) forgot to list the seatpost in the Paypal money request, so I have to wait until he confirms that I paid for it.

Blickblocks, that black one looks great. I spent a couple of hours on sunday looking for a drawing/diagram like yours that I could color in to see how various color schemes might look. I couldn't find anything.

Is it possible that you could make one that was all white with the deep vs that I could use my low tech colored pencils on? Thanks.
