Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

on a side note, that paper airplanes song from m.i.a. bugs the **** outta me for some reason.

i have to disagree on "paper planes" by m.i.a. that has to be one of the catchiest ****ing songs I've heard in a while. i can't stand the rest of the album for the most part, however.

it's catchy because of the straight to hell sample. otherwise it sounds wack to me.

i dunno. i don't mind when things are sampled, in fact i usually enjoy it. but whenever people use clash songs, they just never do them justice. like grouch and zion i. they used the guns of brixton bass and drums and i was just like "oh, ok, i guess".

One of the best concerts I've ever been to, was when I saw Joe Strummer and The Mescaleroes back in 2000 or 2001. I love his solo stuff, but when the band started cranking out Clash songs, it was a truly amazing experience. My only wish was that I was born sooner so that I could have seen the Clash back in their heyday.

i saw joe strummer and the mescaleros in 01. It was awesome when they played clash songs. i can not get into live "clash" though, they seemed to suck on stage a lot.
