INTERSECTION magazine had an article on this in the Winter 07 issue. Apparently its just like sumo, first one to touch the ground brings great shame to their family.

that looks cool. i think i would enjoy one on one footdown more than a group game.

meh, i think it looks like more fun than footdown because there's more room to maneuver and play with tactics and such.
