New England weather

Who is out and about enjoying this amazingly warm January we are having? I went riding last night and the only winter gear I wore were my wool socks. We seem to be having warmer and warmer Januarys.

This weather blows hard. Above freezing temperatures mean that, even with fenders, my bike gets covered with the water/sand/road salt mixture more than usual.

i love it. i mean, it's a manifestation of some really ****ed up weather/climate ****, but yesterday i did thirty miles before work in 60 degree weather. what the hell? you tell me. it's great. reminds me of spring. too bad we'll have a few months of miserable weather after this tease.

amen to that! But its also true that even with out rain, the snow-melt is making for wet rides.
But I'm not complaining.

It sucks. Give me real seasons. I feel like I'm living in some meteorologist's "interesting" script.

All this rain means we've got some drought to look forward to, and the melting-freezing cycle destroys pretty much everything. Many millions extra for more road repair than usual. Wonderful.

Ahmen to that. Here I thought this weather was great and my mood was soaring thru the roof.
