i think "his friend" is really himself, and he's trying to not sound like a newbie.

We'd rather just not build a bike. Stop being momos.

i bought the motobecane on ebay for my 15 yearold son lastnight. i chose it over the kilo because it has brakes installed and he wants to go singlespeed before he goes fixed gear. i hope i maid the right choice and the motobecane doesnt suck. its only $349 and that cannot be beat. If you go to performance and look at the SE draft you will see that it is a heavy peice of crap. they even put a clear plastic chain guard on it.
but wats the difference between fixed gear and singlespeed i thought they both the same haha.... |
ss = coasting, fg = no coasting. put simply.

look on craigslist.
I would say go to some bike shops, I only know St. Catharines ones, and ask what it would cost for them to build one for you. A lot of the shops have old frames laying around, and they can order parts for you. Most of the fixies around town are road bikers doing extra training. If you ever get one, hit me up, I'm always down for riding. |
I do have a fixed gear, ride with me for a nice and easy cruise. I don't want to ride with you if you think you're Lance Armstrong, though.

SE drafts are not fixed gears.
It comes with a free/free hubs and rims that taco under the rider's weight eventually. (seen it happen 3 times.) spend the extra 50 on a windsor. |
