Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Wabash College. Which is about 30 minutes south of Purdue. Speaking of which, themstrkrft(or anybody else that knows) when is the next critical mass, if you could PM me and give me a date and time I would greatly appreciate it. I've done a couple of critical masses in St. Pete and would like to do some up here.

here's a general rule of thumb: critical mass is (more or less) the same time everywhere--rush hour (or 05:30 depending on if you live in a cultured part of the land), last friday of the month, center of town.

University of Colorado Denver. Lots of FG/SS bikes on campus, but they're not as numerous as the geared bikes.

I go to Guilford college. It's a small, liberal arts school in Greensboro, NC. A few others that post here are Guilford grads. We can also claim a notable cycling alum...the guy who made the safety bike. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vYB7CpwxcUw they tested it on our campus.

I've only seen 3 or so fixed gears in 1.5 semesters. I saw 5 in one night at U of M. I think I want to transfer.
Haha yeah, well AA is just more of a biking city in general. I thought that I should transfer for my first two years here too, but this place has somehow grown on me. When the weather warms up you'll see more of us rolling around more often, I think.

Nashville auto diesel college. Im going to go back to school to learn about the new diesel catalyst systems equipped on the newer trucks.

Am I the only diesel truck mechanic in america who rides a fixed gear bicycle to work?

i grew up in larkspur (marin). My girlfriend is from orinda, and i've spent a lot of time there. if you know bernie gellman, tell him to start making comics and quit being an indie. you should go to sf state er somethin; san diego is snoresville.
