Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Has anyone here used theyre carbon wheels?

If everything works out i may start being a mechanic for a sponsored rider. I just want more info before i abuse the discount factor.

are you joking? you think that one out of seventy-eight bikeforums readers should have rode some obscure carbon wheel you're trying to name-drop?

try one out of a thousand, if you're lucky, and maybe on the road or track forum, but not here.

Knowing what I know about carbon wheels, there's a small chance they're just rebadged Zipp.

But yeah, check the road forum.

Wow, for a guy who wanders into the wrong forum to ask a pretty crazy question, you sure did turn into an ass pretty quickly when no-one could help you.

9 and 10 speed compatibility pretty much rules out most fixed gear / single speed uses. It's crazy, I know, but true.

Maybe there's a forum for triathalon / tt stuff?

Never heard of Beyond Fab before. I can't imagine they are better than ZIPPs and their hubs look disturbingly like they are rebadged Velocity hubs, which for $550 a set, which would not inspire confidence in their other products.

Velocity hubs:

Beyond Fab hubs:

If it were me, I would let the racer guy try out the wheels for a few months before I plunked down any money. Even at wholesale, if they suck, you will have a hard time re-selling them since nobody has ever heard of this brand.

That sumed it up well.

Id say people in this forum care very little about some obsure roadie hubs/wheels or the fact that you may or may not mech for someone using them.
Did you try the BMX forum? Same logic.
