Just bought a trainer at a yard sale last weekend, I am looking forward to using it on those really nasty, stormy days. I used it the other night and worked up a good sweat and in little time.

Honestly, while the notion of "just ride outside" is a nice thought, I do 90 kilometer rides weekly in the summer, and there's no way I can safely hold the same speed over the same distance in the winter. While I ride in the winter, it's icy as ****, the roads are narrower because of snow, and cars are extra stupid. I go where I need to by bike, but for fitness, I'll be using a trainer to do the long mileage in the winter as it's a lot more practical and safe than bombing down hills at nearly 40mph over patches of ice

I have a Kinetics Road Machine and it fits my track bike great.
