Let's talk about gloves

I'm in the market for some legit gloves.

Which ones do you guys use/recommend for riding?

Bikes: small Alpha Mercury with flatbar

Especially cause we're in the wet season, these are my favourite riding glove. COMPLETELY waterproof, and they're really thin for when that's all you need or for wearing your winta glove over it.

I'm using some Fox Reflex gloves right now - I like the padding but the top part of the glove is very thin. It's a bit warmer than bare hands but not warming by any stretch. Have worn the Ultra-Thin Seifas gloves which were really warm but short on padding. I'm also kinda in the market for gloves, however a definite sticking point for me is the ability to operate my cell phone with the gloves on. I've also used Nike batting gloves (for baseball) before which were alright for short hops around town but not for an extended period of riding. My bars are bare 125s by the way if that makes a difference.

Cold days: Wool gloves from the military surplus store. A little short on grip, but so damn warm it makes up for it.
Long rides: Pear Izumi Touring Lite gel gloves I think they're called. Pretty good. Although I had some leather gloves that were cheap as hell from the bike co-op that were better.

I like Fox Inclines, which are full fingered MTB gloves. They look plain, and are relatively cheap, which is important because I always lose my gloves.

I had some specialized BG gloves which were nice, but I lost them before I had much of a chance to use them.

I have some Novara riding gloves that I dig pretty hard. That and Hobo gloves, wool status. Finger fold overs with the thinsulate. Those are SO cozy its not even funny.

Are you using the full finger ones or the cut off ones? I've been looking for the Pearl Izumi Full Gel-lites for a minute now and everywhere I go seems to be out. Maybe they got rid of them

Picked these up and love them

https://www.swobo.com/catalog/product...Path=1048_1050

the grips are nice, the surfs up sign makes me feel weird inside.

I run Troy Lee Designs XC gloves. I'm told that the "air" are really comfortable, but don't last very long.

I also like, simple $7.50 work/gardening gloves from the hardware store with nice rubber grip on the inside.....which I am using now

https://www.bikemania.biz/Knog_Switch...knog_kgs04.htm

i've got a pair of these knog long-fingers which are just amazing.
tough, thick and durable enough for the cold weather.
lean enough with perfect amount of room to properly grip your bars when it's warm/whatever

i know they're a bit pricey but i say they're worth it for the mere fact that they can be used for any weather/condition type (plus i got em for only 24.99 )

The Swobo are wool, those are poly. Rivendell has a wool dot grip for $12, though they're natural, not black. I'm still looking for something like this with a mitten flap as well, that would rule.

i wear cannondale weather proof gloves for the winter, when it's real cold i wear wool gloves over top.
in the spring and fall i wear izumi half finger gloves. and in the summer i don't wear gloves cause my hands get too hot.

Planet Bike borealis have been great when it drops below freezing here.

Reasonably priced too.
