Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I can't comment really on whether it was good, because I wasn't there. And even if I was there and commented, it would only be one view point.

But regarding the turd spouting trash. If the guy is violent, he's going to find a target no mater what. If he's not violent, he might only make fun of someone he can catch next time.

And, clearly vengence was served.

Everybody is right:

"What you did rules. What were you thinking? You are total jerk. You did the right thing. Jocks suck. You're an immature knob. You should've u-locked 'em. It's something we've all thought about. No seriously, you're a huge ass. Loogies are gross. Dude you ran away? Why didn't you stay and get your ass beat by 3 linebackers? You should've just ignored them. You are a despicable human being."

This is precisely the debate I was hoping to see. THIS is what the internet is all about.

To the original poster: I think that you did the right thing.

But then again I am a violent and narrow-minded person.

Just because ignoring them would be the right thing to do doesn't mean it doesn't feel great to get revenge like this.

Alright friends what about this, about 4 months ago i was riding down penn ave in s.e. DC heading towards 8th street. i was going to make a right onto 8th but about 20 feet before i make my turn somthing ****ing hits me in the shoulder. i look back at the ground and theres a WHOLE ORANGE lying there.
Its takes two seconds to realize that ive just had an orange thrown at me while riding my bike haha. I look in the direction it came from and theres 3 little basterd middle schoolers standing in a group togeather. I knew they threw it cause they were laughing, so, i was pretty furious and i instantly wanted revenge. I rode over to them threw my bike down and ask who the **** threw that orange. they giggle and say they didnt do anything. so i just pushed one of them cause i was pissed. seeing me do this they run for dear life, each going in a diff direction. I get on my bike, choose one of them, and sprint after him. Once i catch up to him he stops running and i like the op hurl a nice loogie in his face hitting him spot on in the EYE! (yeah that IS pretty gross...) Instantly he doesnt know what to do, he looks at me (his face full of disgust) and then proceeds to pull another ****ing orange from his jacket pocket. I say to him dont you dare i WILL beat the **** out of you, and he runs off to the metro station like 20 feet away. Feeling completly justified and smelling like sweet, sweet citrus i ride away down the street. I know they wont be throwing anymore **** at bicyclists, did i do everyone a favor....maby maby not, its not like it matters though as theres thousnads of other people (kids, and adults) who think its fun as **** to mess with people....

Woah, not that those kids don't deserve a beating, but they should be getting it from an older brother instead of some random dude on the street. Assaulting minors is sketchy territory.

For the rest of their lives you'll live on as the psycho grown up who attacked them when they were in middle school. Even better, they'll tell this story and describe you to people long after your telling it to others and describing your reaction only impresses brain damaged adults and frauds with impulse control problems.

I am usually the one messing with people. I sometimes go near the casino (theres a club outside of the casino) and call people guidos, or tell them that they look like they are *****exuals. The things you say to funny club guys is so effective. You could say anything and they'd get roid rage. Its awesome times.

Duluth! Like Iran, but with ice fishing.

Not talking about duluth... but go to your average person on the street, slander them and see how many times you can do it before someone gets violent and lays you out.

In duluth you just get beat-down for riding a bike. (kinda joking... I got attacked while walking my bike and a buddy had someone jump out and try to clock him in the face (got a fist to the helmet and kept going)).

Man, if I was drunk and someone said **** to me they'd probably get a ulock to the face. But that's just because I'm an angry drunk.

I actually did get a few sarcastic "nice bike" comments outside my favorite drunk food establishment last night while waiting for my chili cheese fries. But that's just drunk ******bags, it's not like they offended me.
