Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Bikes: 08 tommaso augusta, 88 specialized sirrus, random cruisers and stuff

My guess is a chain guard so your pants don't get stuck in the chain.

It's ridiculous, that's what it is.

It's probably just really effing expensive because nobody else makes a bashguard in 144bcd. And also because people will get dumb and pay that much for a bike that sits in front of a coffee shop.

that and just to generally protect your chainring. They are fairly common on bmx bikes. My experience with them is that if your chainline is not perfect it is just one more place to create noise and wear your chain.

Someone buy it, powdercoat it pink, then paint flowers between the holes and Hello Kitty over the Milwaukee logo.

Bikes: Check the sig to find out

if you notice they are also selling Bootleg session so they took the cue and figured they could make a buck off the movement of fixed BMX riding...looks pretty successful so far by the preorders

Bikes: 78' Windsor Pro-Track, 84' Pinarello

You know that trend where kids pretend their track bikes are BMX bikes?
