I was reading a thread earlier today but I can't seem to find it now. There wasa list of complete bikes and spec. I had read in the that the rear hub and lock rings were recalled can someone either link me to that thread or to the infor about the recall.

Thanks in advance

my wifes windsor came in the mail today, with a Formula branded hub and lockring. i'm assuming whatever recall has been fixed on the current models.
and as a side note, for how much bashing the windsor gets on here, i'm extremely pleased for 299.

Crazy I got mine in today as well, except I had to drive to the ups warehouse cause the ups guy was too lazy to drive up my plowed street to deliver in the snow. Ehh either way I'm psyced to get it. Let's hope this recall thing was fixed cause I don't wanna go down cause of it

I remember reading about that but I remember reading that it was a few years ago, like at the most recent the 06 model. I don't remember where I read that though, it might have been on a random bike page on velospace.

Also what did you use to tighten your lock ring this is my first FG so my tools are limited I have it together but I don't want to ride until I get that thing tight!

yeah i talked to a shop they are gonna hook me up for freeness, i plan to buy a lock ring tool when i get my tax return back. thanks for the info

p.s. i have never dealt with any FG bikes before nor have i knowledge of components and parts and such but this bike doesnt seem to bad for the $300 price tag. i do plan some upgrades tho once i get riding and deeper into this style of cycling.

It is very important you get the cog on tight as well. Preferably before you do up the lockring. And don't forget to check it after your first couple rides.
