A couple of years from now we'll have a thread about "where have all the oldtimers gone" or some other ****e like that, and someone will say "remember when James puked on a Lexus?" and we'll be all oldtimers and will remember.
If they don't want to have respect for cyclists, **** them. We don't need to respect those drivers who don't understand basic traffic laws, etiquette, and respect for pedestrians/alternative transportation. Who cares if this person holds a grudge against all cyclists? Its not like they respected them in the first place.

No, on the Look (with some borrowed Zipp 606). USAC requires 2 hand brakes now

Agreed, that lexus driving ******tard will probably keep his horn shut and give cyclists a w-i-d-e berth for a while.

Honestly, I am just glad that I am not the only one to have pulled the drinking all day random vomit routine.

When I was living in Boston a roommate had me come out with him and meet some of his friends for a bike ride. We had been drinking all day, and I was out of shape. We got to the reflecting pool at the Christian Sciences church shook hands "hey nice to meet you all" boom... next thing I know I'm vomiting all over the side of the church.

"who brought the new dude?"

Sigh. First impressions.

As far as the whole "Well now the Lexus driver will just have ammo to use in his cyclist hating routine" goes, if the driver is that self centered to begin with I am sure nothing in any facit of life will sway their opinion. They are probably the type of person who thinks all waiters are jerks because one time they treated their waiter like crap and this one time the waiter actually responded to it. Don't worry about self centered people. Get your revenge, your karma, and ride off feeling better about the whole situation and don't worry about trying to extend a peace branch to people like that. They don't change.

Damn, I just wiped my tears away. Awesome!

I had it once when i played a drinking game which involved playing some sort of soccer with a rugby ball. When a team scores they have to drink. After twelve beers and half an hour I almost vomitted my intestines 10 feet far. A tree was covered 5 feet high with the remains of my lunch.

It seems like everytime I go to ATL for a bike event, something so great happens but I never have a video camera rolling. Back in December, during a sprint event, we had a DJ and some bum was out dancing in the streets in the middle of the sprint path when my buddy from my hometown is sprinting up the hill and totally didnt see the bum and hits the guy from behind at full sprint. My buddy then does a superman in the air. I would give $100 for a video of that.

"where is your partner dude"
james: "you see the guy passed out on the ground"
"he doesnt look so well"
james"yeah we've" been drinking all morning"

I guess my joke flew right above your head. My comment was a caricatured reference to this.

EDIT: I guess the following was directed at my comment, as well:

I hope it's clear I was joking. I was making fun of those who say that now the driver will hate us cyclists and the whole world is worse off.

I know and I wasn't addressing you. Just a general rant against the entire advocacy (and sometimes commuting) forum...
