Hoods on track drops?

Use inverse levers on the track drops. That way, you can keep your hands in the drops and not have to move your hands to use the brakes.

you might have fit problems or need shims in some track bars, since they're not designed for use with bar-end levers or shifters, unlike road drops or bullhorns. this is not to say that they absolutely won't fit.

Similar to TT levers; maybe even the same but Tektro and others call them Inverse levers. I've considered using them on some Soma Swallow bars.

"Hipster tendancies"? Jeez--all I did was ask an honest question about brake hoods. I was simply considering getting a cheap set of hoods and levers. There is nothing wrong with the bars I have on my bike--i have no need to purchase a new set. I don't need more hand positions. I was simply trying to find a brake setup for convenient than what I have and did not want to do the guppy look. The bike in question I use for commuting, so I have no need to be "fast." My hand positions are quite comfortable as is, and I only worry about being "cool" when I am trying not to perspire on my way into the office.
My question was more one of mechanics. Never having owned a bike from brake hoods or installed them, I did not know when the curvature of track drops would be to extreme to mount them or whether other peopel had encountered any problems trying to do so.
your preconceptions are quite astounding. I hardly think a 30 yrd old with a "yuppy" job that rides home from work wearing a green Ansi vest qualifies as being a "hipster."
But I appreciate your concern over my comfort and self-image.
