It was small, only about 15 riders. I had a blast though. I expected to get ***** because it was centered around the University of South Carolina campus and alot of the riders were students, so they had an advantage. I won, but only because the 2 people who got back before me miscounted at one of the checkpoints. It felt really good.

No it was in columbia, USCM and college of charleston are in charleston. I won a tube and a bottle of triflow and a bunch of pats on the back. The prizes were out of the organizer's pockets. Had an awesome time though. Prizes werent really the point.

I dont ride fixed, i actualy ride a road bike, its just, this is the right section to put the topic in. About 7 of the people riding were fixed. Theres actualy a bit of bike culture developing around here. exciting.

I liked Columbia when I was there a few weeks ago, it's alot better than Arkansas where I am today. I saw a decent number of fixed gears in the 30some odd hours I was there.

Charleston getting some bike kids, last Friday of every month is critical mass. There are talk of some more Alleycats.

charlestons my hometown. my friend will be getting together a three day alley cat event for july 18th thru 20th. i believe it will be called something along the lines of "The Historic Charleston Alley CATastrophe".
