Geekhouse Bikes

Anyone ride the rockcity or have anything to say about it? I know its a pricey frame, but i just want to see what you guys have to say about it.

conor 02-28-08 06:11 PM

they're good. i know a few people who just put orders in for 'em. and marty's a good guy, so you can feel good about giving him your support.

do it up!

NitroPye 02-28-08 06:13 PM

Those look like nice welds.

abraham lincoln 02-28-08 06:32 PM

i think the fork looks pretty cool.

ahand 02-28-08 07:27 PM

they're really nice, especially in person.

Depowsepow 02-28-08 07:29 PM

^agreed.

TimArchy 02-28-08 08:00 PM

Anyone try to race on one?

I'm trying to figure out how you combine "pursuit track" and "traditional road" geometry.
Seems like pretty much the opposite ends of the spectrum.

If it rides good and it well made, $900 isn't bad for an interesting looking bike.

conor 02-28-08 08:09 PM

i wanna get a geekhouse jumpy bike.

Thisisit 02-28-08 08:44 PM

I really like the look of it. I'm planning on doing a nice fixed gear build sometime this summer once I make some more cash(my 4 year old conversion is losing it's luster).

Not too many on velospace, I'd love to see more pictures than just what the website gives.

asherlighn 02-28-08 08:50 PM

Im not sure how much I like the track frame, though the fork is nice, but I really dig on that mtb frame.

conor 02-28-08 08:58 PM

^^flickr!

NitroPye 02-28-08 09:08 PM

Man I would love to do some dirt jumping on that wormtown frame.

Whoa, geekhouse is moving to Allston. Close by.

4doorhoor 02-28-08 09:09 PM

They look cool.

bonechilling 02-28-08 09:19 PM

Good price and paintjobs for a full custom frame, from the looks of it. The recent boom in custom builders has been pretty good for the buyer, it seems!

Funny, but not the least bit surprising.

Good thing they're moving there... naming your trackframe "Rock City" and then not being in Allston almost seems like false advertising...

Interesting frame, I'd like to hear what people who've ridden 'em think.

conor 02-28-08 11:29 PM

^hahahahahaha.
