Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

lol, famous misconceptions...

if your bb isn't sealed, you'll be taking it out to overhaul it.
even if it's sealed, i assure you it'll be removed more than just once.
upgrades, problems, adjustments...
in the past year, i've used my crankpuller at least five times, and my bb tool almost as much.
a headset press, i agree-- once the cups are in, there's no reason to take them out. it just won't happen often.
but you will eventually buy a bb tool. i recommend just saying **** it and spending half a ben on a set now.
you won't regret it.
