Well if you want to get technical, you have to amortize the sunk cost of the the bike purchase over the 7 years of ownership. This would have a net positive impact on total returns from $100 depreciated to $400 appreciated over the 7 years of ownership, assuming $500 purchase price. $400 net gain is over 12% per year thus rendering the Bianchi Pista the most financial sound investment in the history of short run stock arbitrage.

i'd really like to have one of the black/celeste pistas. it's one of the best looking framesets IMO. and seeing how much i really want one, i'd pay no more than $400 for a complete.
