chicago massers...how was last night?!?!?

afternoon all...

quite a turnout last night, eh? from now on, though, i dont think the "circle the triangle" on rush street will ever work, especially with such a huge mass. anybody know how many there were?? seemed like over 1000, easy...

I had to jet right after we held up Lincoln, Wellington, and Sheffield...I scored a few free bagels and headed back up north for a date...

I've never seen any popo following us, until last night... though...they didn't give us any trouble, though...interesting, though..

any other thoughts?

This sentence pretty much sums up my reasoning for not taking part in a critical mass.

Police presence is always part of Mass at some point or the other during the ride. Sometimes they help out and sometimes they hassle. Most of the time they don't so anything and are there to keep the peace if anything happens. A few Masses ago, pre-summer I think, there was an accident when we hit LSD, when a car bumped a Masser and everyone got all rowdy. Police were close by and came on the scene and got it sorted. Most of the Mass kept on moving as it's not supposed to be a confrontational sort of event.
