Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

My new fixed gear bike

i need to repaint the frame badly and replace the front wheel with a 700cc to match the back wheel. the back wheel is a custom Surly hub with double butted spokes, brass nipples, and a Mavic Rim. the bike store ****ed up a previous order for a Suzue Wheel for like 70 bucks and made me wait forever so they gave this wheel to me at cost to make it up to me. It has a surly lockring, Dura-Ace cog, and SRAM chain. i just ordered some bullhorn bars from chucksbikes to complete the project. i also need a new chainring, the one i am using is out of shape. i believe i am running 45-16. The bike was a fuji delray road bike, it was $10.00 at a garage type sale.
