Campy thread-on hub help needed
Hey, does anyone know if the older style Campy road hubs - the ones that took a screw on cluster - will accept a modern day singlespeed freewheel? Thinking of putting some on a new singlespeed roadie commuter and I'd like to use some older stylie parts on it.
Also, because I'm feeling naughty, I have some singlespeed stuff I'm trying to offload. Thought I'd try here before I flood ebay. Thompson stem and post, White Ind ENO disc hubs, freewheel, titanium forks, Tioga Red Phoenix tires, Pace RC36 Pro Class 2 forks, Thylacine 221 singlespeed frame, SDG saddle, Truvativ Stylo SS cranks and BB, Avid Mech discs and SD7 levers. All ex-demo parts, barely used. Email info@thylacinecycles.com for more info.
Cheers,
W

Ti mtb forks. My own private label ones, '2 Prong Ti'. Very similar to Spicer, US$200, disc only, suspension corrected.
Stylo cranks are the 180mm SS version, with 32t chainring and guard. For you Kev, 5 bucks.....plus bastard tax of 95 means 100 bucks. Gigapipe BB additional 30 bucks.

Frame is a 'Large'....that means 18.3 centre to top, 16" centre to centre, 71/72, 17" stays, 23.5" top tube. Identical to the one in the picture you found.
Tires - US$60 the pair
Freewheel is a 17T, but you must buy the hubs with it. US$250.
Shipping is extra. Of course.

eh...i am "smallish."
i ride 50cm road bikes, and a 15" mountain bike (for trials), and 18" is a bit...wait...16"c-c, but 18.3 c-t? so the seat tube is taller than the top tube...and the frame is only one inch taller than my current bike...intriguing...but still...no income, and trials riding is about the extent of any mountain biking that i may or may not be doing...still though...i could use another bike...
sigh.
it is not to be.

Okay, the seat tube, from centre of bottom bracket to the top of the seat tube measures 18.3". The distance from the BB to the centreline of the top tube/seat tube intersection is 16". The top tube measures 23.5 horizontal. I'd say it was too big for you....I'd typically recommend this size for someone say 5ft 8ins - 5ft 11ins.
