Unfortunately my favorite pair of jeans (and ones that are the least tight on my legs) don't have back pockets big enough for a U-lock :(

i used to shove my lock under my belt and it was a little uncomfortable. same with putting it in the back pocket. the fabric horse holster works way better than that. you don't even notice that it is there. i ordered mine from kingkog in NYC and it is definitely worth it. I have a specialized cell phone holder that goes right next to it so that there is nothing in my pockets bothering me.
I had some extra seat belt laying around so I figured I'd try to make one. It's pretty ****ing awesome. I dont even feel my lock anymore. It doesnt pull down the waist of my jeans and it doesnt poke into my ass cheek like when it was in my pocket. I probably wouldnt buy one unless it were in a store around here cause 8 bucks is pretty cheap, but I'm glad I made my own. |
A very similar loop sewn on the right hand side (if you're a left shoulder guy) of a messenger bag works really well and avoids the ******** look and the crash worries. Then of course you may not ride with a messenger bag...

obvious until you look at it and realize that you would be sewing through the portion that the belt has to go through.
Not that hard. Still don't see why just stuffin it in your belt loop wouldn't work though. XXXX Just read your other post and saw you made one that's handy. I don't have an industrial sewing machine or I'd bust all kinds of insanity. |
