Bottle Jack Uneccessary
Last night coming back from the group ride about 3 blocks from my college i was going about 20 mph and i saw a guy in the middle of the street. I had no time to react, and tried to go around, but it was a narrow street and he took a step and then ****ing clocked me in the jaw. Luckily i stayed on, but i knew his intention (to steal me wallet/bike/dignity) and kick the **** outta me. Anyway i was lucky. Don't visit milwaukee.
tl:dr - some guy tried to **** me up while i was moving. |

That's when you speed up put your head down and just run the guy over.
|
That's why I always ride straped now. Either my Glock 27, or smaller caliber snub nose.
|

There hasn't been a threads on guns in a while. It always made sense to me being on a expensive bike, usually exhausted and an easy target.
How do you carry the gun? How easy access do you have to it? How much does it weigh? |
I have a belly band type holster kinda looks like an ace bandage with a slot for my hog leg. Very light, the Glock 27 is a sub compact polymer gun so even loaded its light. It fits in the small of my back, I just wear a bigger t-shirt.

Washington state allows you to carry concealed pistol. Law abiding citizens have a right to protect their lives from armed criminals or multiple attackers who would inflict grievious bodily harm. One person standing in the road would not justify leathal force. You would have to convince a jury of why you did it.

these guys managed, i'm sure you can manage :)

People are walking around cowboy style in TN. Gun on their side. |
I feel safe enough in Montreal with a box wrench and a U-lock in easy reach, but now that I think of it if I were to be riding all-over-everywhere-everyday in downtown B-More, I'd probably ride strapped. I saw something about a .22 that was made for runners and cyclists and such. Know anything about that one? Real easy to conceal, as I remember, but I feel it'd be kind of like bringing a knife to a gunfight in some parts of town...

I've lived in Milwaukee for a couple years and have not yet had anyone try to jump me, whether riding my bike, or walking around at bartime. It mainly depends on the neighborhood and time of day. It's not really fair to say "don't visit Milwaukee," in my opinion.
As for packing, it's illegal here in Wisconsin. From what I hear, though, a lot of Milwaukee delivery drivers illegally carry concealed weapons, and have been let off on several occasions for firing at an assailant. I've considered carrying my CZ (pictured in avatar) here in town, but it kind of limits where you can go and what you can do. |

Keeping it on your back and landing hard is a pretty good way to break a rib/vertebrae/whatever. I know a motorcyclist who is in a wheelchair because of his Luger, and it didn't even go off. |
 that's what my katanas 4
