So, does Glacier Blue Metallic refer to the frame all the way to the left, or the row of erection inducing "blue" frames?

I think I keep posting in here cause really, I just want one of these really bad...

Yo! 02-08-10 04:48 PM

My buddy found a 50 in "Glacier Blue Metallic". He also has a forrest green one in 54.

52's are damn near impossible to find.

At the risk of offending the majority, I think I like the light blue/silver more than the bright blue.

I've considered trying to match the paint and getting some replica decals made, but I'd rather not make a Track imitation out of a conversion.

I don't know why I love these frames so much....I think because of the smooth "joints" and that killer blue...

Seriously, if the OP still has the bike, any paint supplier can match this. Better yet a body shop. Those guys match paint to faded, one of a kind colors all day.

old post i know, but this isn't true at all.

it's nearly impossibly to recreate a special mix. it can be close though.

Not fillet brazed,All C-Dale did was sand the welds smooth so there were not stress risers. It is aluminum after all,but this is when I sold them back when they were still only CAD3.

kato7997 02-09-10 12:26 AM

What does CAAD stand for anyways? CAAD 3,4,5...is that just the generation number?

LupinIII 02-09-10 02:51 AM

psh sanded welds and slack geo. not hipster enough for me.

seriously though, these things are ridiculously overpriced. these and njs frames make no ****ing sense

Yo! 02-09-10 08:52 AM

Sure they do, if you can afford them.

what about hipster sensibilities and taste DOES make sense?

still a beautiful bike, would buy one if it came at the right price (and size).

brazed steel offers those hipster friendly smooth joints while keeping you on the steel is reel bandwagon.

it's a good place to be, I feel like king hipster every day i ride my bike.

What do smooth welds have to do with hipsters?
