Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Converting a 1986 Schwinn World

Don't know what bottom bracket size I need to buy. All I have is the frame. On the bottom of where the bottom bracket would be the bike is stamped 68K. Anybody know what size bottom bracket I need?

68k most likely means 68mm. You could always visit your local bike shop for free information

This bike has a 68mm English threaded bottom bracket. The spindle length and interface will depend on which cranks you are using.

I'm about to convert one of those into a fixed polo bike. Got all the parts, just need to clean and rattlecan the frame before I build it up. I'm using the stock BB with Sakae cranks, it's a 3S. If the chainline is off I'll just try a different spindle.
