I think I would rather be caught riding a fuji obey than that thing. Unless you really get pegs and a gyro.

Personally, I don't think you can go wrong with lugged steel. Can't comment on parts list, and color matching parts isn't really my style.

4130 is fine steel. the crank is pretty standard. The brakeset is nicer than any other stock bike I've seen (which generally have the cheapest tektro stuff they can get). If you don't like the color combo, you can probably find someone to snap up those wheels and crank for enough to get you some replacements. I personally think the green/khaki is a good combo. Some silver wheels would set it off nicely.

The headset will probably go in a year or so. Replace it with a 105 and you'll be set.

Also, good work on getting having insurance with a low enough deductible to get you a $600 bike. Must be nice to have hat kind of piece of mind.

I wish they gave more info about the tubing... there's a difference between DB and straight-gauge 4130. And the threaded headset annoys me, but that's a style vs. substance point for most folks.

The main thing that worries me is this:

Rim Alex Crostini R1.1, 36H, Double Wall, 32 Hole, Gold Ano, w/ Stainless 14Ga. Spokes & Gold Ano Nipples
How are the rims both 36h and 32 Hole? Oh, and anodized nipples = alloy nipples = suck. My nit-picking is complete.

I think he's getting it free (theft replacement). So, sounds like a good deal.

A little ugly IMO, but sounds like a nice enough set up in terms of the ride. If I could trade out the wheels, stem and crank, I'd be very happy with it.

EDIT: Also, now that I see where you're located, wouldn't that thing be like riding around on a National Team bike? I bet it will be easy to find a matching kit.

you could build a pretty nice custom bike for that money. A Bareknuckle wouldn't be too far off in terms of price and that fram is universally loved, as far as I can tell. I haven't really seen anyone speak well of any of the SE bikes. Mostly, it is said that they are overpriced for what you get. That bike is probablly fine, but you might be able to do better.

Fine bike.
For about the same money, you should also consider the Fuji Obey.
Some people don't like the Obey, but check it out anyway, for its list of components.
And you might just like the look.

You could pay less for this bike if you bought all the parts individually and had a shop build it up.

I think you took that song "She Thinks My Tractor's Sexy" seriously.

Looks like a fine bike though even if I don't dig the John Deer color scheme.

I bought that bike a few months ago. The rims are gold, not yellow like in that photo. I have since replaced everything on the bike except for the stem and seatpost. The frame is nice if you aren't bothered by the fact that it is set up for running single speed (cable guides and rear brake). Besides the braze-ons and rear brake drilling, the frame is nice. Knowing what I know now, I would not buy a premade bike like the Premium Brew again. I have seen the frame/fork for sale seperatley online for 500ish. Half the fun is building the bike and making it your own. The parts that come on it are ok but I think that you can do better building your own if you look for deals/sales. Here is what mine looks like now:

Bikes: Hummer H2

They're moving in the right direction, though i'd say they could probably knock $300 off of the price.
Not my taste (neither are 80% of the completes out there, for that matter), but not a bad build.

That bike is hideous.

The Steamroller is a much better choice.

Being that fuji owns SE Racing, that pretty much is the Obey.

I like the detonators I have been riding my steamroller for a month or so, they roll great.
What is the beef with them anyway?
The name suggests they may combust but I dunno
