Refinishing an Aerospoke

Wondering if you guys have any experience with refinishing an Aerospoke? Just got one used the other day and the previous owner spray painted it white over the factory green (what i was told). anyway to remove this paint safely without damaging the integrity of the wheel itself?

Yeah taking just one layer of paint off seems tricky. You might be better off stripping it all the way down and then re-painting it to your liking.
