Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? The SUL stem is one of the easier to get quill stem with a removable faceplate. While you think it's ugly, it is quite handy. Function > Looks in this case. And no, that is not my bike.

The rims do not appear to be machined. I believe Open Pro's all come machined. It might be an Araya Aero rim (4?) or as said, a Velocity Aerohead (not sure if these come in non-machined).

I don't understand why people will drop $XXX on 7600's, then lace them to junk rims (if they are an Aerohead).

Also, rims haven't always been machined (thanks, Grant Petersen ). I don't know how old the Open Pros would have to be for this to be the case, or whether Open Pros were even made back then.
