Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I'm a college student, I also work for my university's apartment living department (being on call for maintenance emergencies, etc.) and I book all of the concerts at my school. Pretty sweet jobs, the first one pays all my rent and the second one is just awesome.

Sorry I posted before but today I went to the city to apply for a job watching parking lots and stuff for the next two weeks at the Transformers 2 set. My friend was under 18 and couldn't apply so I backed out but this could have been a sick job.

I'm a marketer for one of the biggest [interiors/architecture/retail] design firms in the world, and I work specifically for the retail design group. But I'm quitting in 9 days to move to NYC for a graduate degree in design history.

I think it would be interesting for you post-bachelor people to explain just how you ended up where you are now, how you got your jobs and what quirks/etc they have brought.

I thought there would be a lot more architects/photographers/film people.

Anyway, I'm a 2nd year medical school student.

I am a high school math teacher (Algebra I, Algebra II, Pre Calc, Computer Applications, and traditional darkroom photography). I've also been known to teach an art class here and there...

I teach at an very small (60 students over five grades) private, no tuition, college prep school for low-income disadvantaged youth. We have 12 hour school days, 730am - 730pm, and have class all year. While our school is extremely rigorous, we have a 100% college acceptance rate.

I love my job, just I don't have much time to ride my bikes... Probably why I spend so much time lurking on this forum late at night.
