good SS trainer for under $1k
Im looking to get/buy/build a freewheeling SS trainer to attack the hills, do long (50+ mi) rides. I want it to have front and rear brakes as well.
I was thinking of getting a used, nice road frame/bike and just converting it. Is that my best bet? I only know of the Cannondale capo (moreso a track frame)

1 k is a pretty sky high limit if you're looking for something that's training grade and not much higher.
i built this for less than half that with some parts i had lying around. the frame, fork, headset, rear wheel and ss conversion kit were all 410, the rest i had lying around.

weighs about 18 fully loaded and spins like ****ing crazy.
aluminum and carbon with a heavy seatpost and brakes.
