Campy C-Record cranks
Anyone know where I can pick a set of 90's Campy cranks? I know they're no longer produced but wanted to see if anyone knew about a shop that had old stock of them.

These are C-Record road cranks, with one hidden spider arm. I 've had these since 1993.

Sorry.......mine are road cranks pictured above. You're right about those being C-Record Pista cranks. I've got them as well on my Cinelli track bike. Very nice cranks. I found mine used on Ebay 5 years ago.
|
Those look great. Like a bulging muscle. Good luck finding some drainyoo.
|
I had some on my ROMIC back in the mid 90s. They got me around the track without issue.
|
|
Thanks for teasing me guys! I need to get these for my italian build.
|
u gotta pay to play...
|
|
Oh I'll pay, I just need to find the damn things.
So no one? Is ebay my only hope? Ebay is great I just hate how people don't know how to bid. |

any shop that has crecord cranks is gonna be asking an arm and a leg. ebay and cl are your best bets.

It's just not fair!

Record Pista cranks with the old logos can be had on eBay but they will cost an arm and a leg. Here's a set of NOS crank arms that went for $499 buy it now:

That's nuts. I might just have to settle for the current version.
|
I think business cycles had them for $349....pretty steep for a set of cranks but they are beautiful.
|
A couple questions:
What is the difference between these c-records and the current version that you can get anywhere? They look like the same design but with a record logo instead of a c-record logo. Has any one heard of the old campagnolo pista cranks cracking? I talked to a guy at my LBS and he made it sound like they were as notorious for failure as the "sheriff star" hubs. |
I've been doing a lot of googling on these cranks and I haven't found anything suggesting that they're weak. Quite the opposite actually. I keep reading on how good they are.
As for the difference between the current and the C-Record versions, it's mainly the logo. That's why people go nuts over them. |
|
That's just mean man.

Keep an eye on eBay. They will surface sooner or later.

What do these normally do on Ebay?
I have a set that I might consider selling |
Well an auction just ended for the crankarms only, no chainring, bolts or dust caps, for $350.
If you're gonna sell them please contact me. Thanks. |
