Bullhorn brakes
Hey folks,
Just picked up some Nitto track bars which I'm gonna hack into bullhorns.
I ride with brakes and want to put some in the bar ends and then drill an exit hole for the brake cords but so far all of the 'plug-in' brakes I'm finding are black in color. Are there any metal ones out there? Could I possibly spray paint them or something? Black brakes on steel bars makes baby jesus cry.

well first things first, i wouldn't "hack" some Nitto track bars into bull horns they will not feel at all like a real bull horn. Save those bars or better yet, sell them. Nashbar sells a really good bullhorn for $19.95 https://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?c...%20Aero%20Bars buy those. as far as your question goes, i didn't actually read that far...

i mean it's your money, do what you want, but why wouldn't you buy nitto bullhorns like the rb-018s.
it just makes me sad to see nice bars getting hacked up. Ignore all of this if you are cutting down gold b123s that's just ballin. You might find a silver lever but i'm not sure i've seen any with the full mechanism in silver.
