this is a picture thread. if youre not here to post pictures of bikes that you think are "classy", whatever that word might mean to you, then close the window because this isnt the thread for you

Because the majority of bikes you posted are NOT classy but tarcky, so you aren't looking for a classy bike.

that is clearly a manger door. the Confente was probably cold, so they moved baby Jesus outside.

it's behind a garage door. the guy was gonna sell me the saddle but i didn't really want it.
he said he still races it i think and that saddle wasn't on it anymore. so maybe it's an old pic.

whats up rich, didnt know you were into fixies too... like mk2's old road bikes are fun too... maybe a little less expensive though. :thumb:

RichPugh 07-05-08 11:09 PM

I cant afford old road bikes so I just ride new ones LOL. Maybe if I decide to sell more crap off my walls and shelves and stuff, I can get an old bike... til then, I'll ride my lowly new one. Actually I do want to get a steel bike. been thinking of a new Gan Well Pro... That red one I posted above is friggin gorgeous...

hockdub 07-06-08 12:45 AM

haha, true that. just picked up an old fuji sports 10 and have been working on it every day. converting to fix. cool color scheme too. ill post pictures in this thread or make a build thread once i start getting closer to finished.

Class, class, class, class and class. Where do I start? 650b tires, stitched grips, brazed-on Mafac brakes, hammered fenders, dynamo lighting, brazed-on front rack+bag, matching pump, Brooks flyer, TA Pro cranks, Phil hubs.

THAT is classy!

I've been looking into fixed gear bicycles and i have notice that a few have like a thick welding (Bridgestone a few posts up) or something on the top tube. Can someone explain what it is to me or is it just for looks?

There's almost nothing about that bike that isn't hideous.
