Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

I saw something even cooler than that (although they'd make a great pair). It's a twist grip that replaces your old grip, and when you twist it, it makes a very convincing motorbike sound. So you can sit at the lights and rev your 'engine', and then peel out and hear that Turbospoke roar!

Saw the twistgrip deal in ToyRus over the holiday's. Damn near bought it for the traditional New Years day ride.

Allright, but you have to get these to go with them, in place of ground effects.

I'd actually get some of that stuff if it weren't so freaking expensive. $30 per spoke and you need 3 per wheel? Forget it!

Maybe I'll just dig out a few old baseball cards and a clothespin instead...

If they made good reflective spinners that could fit on the hub I'd buy it in a ****ing heartbeat.

I'm getting those fugly/spectacular Riv tires probably within the month.

Really wish they had picked better colors, though.

How will those Riv tires match your new paint job?

I'm never riding with you again.
