Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Bikes: Trek 330 conversion 44/15

Well would you rather buy a new bike online or from your lbs (probably with some sort of service guarantee for a few months) or buy a used bike without knowing its history?
If you can get a new bike of similar build/quality for the same price, I would heavily recommend that.

Well, I emailed SE about the BCD and they emailed me back and said 104... which made me think WHAAAAT. no way is the SE or the Dawes a 104 BCD for the chainring. especially since its a 5 bolt set up. I tracked down a type ruler here at work with millis and indeed it does look to be 130 after the sheldon brown conversion table.

I think I'll be ordering a 130 Surly 52 tooth chainring. If all goes well I'll post picts.
