My comment is kinda like saying that someone looks like a line backer or baseball pitcher. Certain builds are common at high levels of sport.
GMJ seems to be:
Tall
Long limbs
Small waist
Narrow chest/shoulders
Similar to Taylor Phinney, who was literally bred to race bikes, haha. He's the child of two Olympic cyclists.
At 21 Taylor has been to the Olympics, will probably go in 2012, is a pro racer, and already a multiple World Champion.

That physiological predisposition is helpful. For example, I look like I was made to play tight-end or rugby or something. Or maybe a MLB slugger. 6'1, 240+ lbs, big chest and shoulders. Big legs (thighs are 29" around).
When I tell people that I race bikes they look me up and down with a "Pffft. Yeah, right." expression on their faces. But, I get asked if I played pro baseball or pro/collegiate football all the time.

Yes, that's true.
I guess my point is that I'd have a much easier time playing a sport where 240+ pounds is a good thing
...just like maybe he would excel in cycling because his body provides him the mechanical levers that others don't have, he seems to be very flexible, and is already slim (many cyclists struggle to stay slim). Heck, he could be slow as molasses. But if he isn't, with proper training he might be hell in a bike race.

i still get funny looks when i list the number of sports I have played till my docs made me quit. Was different back when i weighed 200 and rode 120+mi every weekend and spent several hours in the water every day.

Fresh Garbage
I can only dream of being 170. At 180 I was already looking sickly, but I have tree trucks for legs
