Bottom Bracket Tool - Shimano

I am thinking that this tool: Park Tool BBT-22, will help me:

Remove & re-install my Shimano UN54 bottom bracket

is this true?

Also, is it a good idea to transfer a used bottom bracket (only like 300 miles) to a new bike, or should i just put a new one in?

That will work. Using that BB in another bike will not be a problem. If it spins fine, then its good to go!!!!
