I have begun wearing Converse as I bike around town, and they are incredible. My feet are more comfortable, all foot odor is gone, and I believe more girls have been "checking me out" as I cruise through the shopping center parking lot. By the way, I wear the black Converse SKU# 104225.

Hell yes. A link to buy GR-9 pedals should be right next to the search button on every page. VWVortex isn't even close to as bad as Bike forums in terms of insane questions such as this.

Every day it's "What mod should I do first to my _____ (insert bikesdirect.com bike here)" or "What shoes should I ride with". It's a bunch of ******* around here all the time.

Yes. GR-9's will solve all of your problems. Sylvan's aren't made for regular shoes you wear around town.

I ride Converse Chuck Taylor Black Monochrome with MKS Lambada pedal.
Sole could be a little stiffer , but a great combo .

I hate Converse, they offer zero support as they are flat as can be. Dont get me wrong they LOOK fantastic! but comfortable they are not, you might as well be wearing the box the came in.

Just tried my slip-on Chuck Taylors again and they were terrible. Marginally better than going barefoot

All black Chuck mono's. Sole gets flexier the more I wear them. After 20 miles my toes hurt.

That outlet sore was awesome too. Buy one pair get the next billion pairs half off. They always had wacked styles, cosmetic second discounts etc. I even got a pair of High top suede one stars.

We need a shoes thread to balance out the "socks" thread in the Road forum. Yin and Yang. Without both, the bicycling universe would collapse upon itself.

I say ride in Wellingtons. No one will mess with you because they will think you are bat-sh** crazy.
