If you buy one please for the love of god and all that is holy, get it media blasted and powdercoated asafp. and toss out the toptube pad, and toss out the seat or just cover it in duct tape.

Then it will look like a decent bike.

You don't need to powdercoat it to make it un-horrific, just take off the argyle top tube pad and put on a new saddle. You'll probably want a new saddle, anyway. The argyle is badass on a racing bike that could kick your ass (Felt F1 Team Issue ftw), but it looks like **** on a bike like the curbside, IMO. The Dispatch, also made by Felt, is kind of cool, too. Similar bike, but with drops and a more sober color scheme.

i'll leave it alone for a while. and i like the green and argyle... the seat and pad with come off whent hat get all ripped up.

i was asking more about the quality that the looks of it. i dont care what u think abotu looks. to each his own. (all my bikes eventually become flat black anyway)

i haven't bought a complete bike in umm.... ever
i wanted to build a bike but it turns out i can get of these for dealer cost. rode one this morning... i liked it except for the brakes and lack of toe clips

but thanks for the pre-bash guys.

If you like it then buy it. Buy it, buy it, buy it. It makes no difference what other people think of you or your bike on here.

don't expect haters to love.

i think it looks really cool off the shelf, but whatever.

and bikes themselves don't kick anyone's ass... put a cat 2 rider on a curbside and climb up on a cervelo r3 and see what happens.

The downside of this forum is when you ask a question like "does anyone have one?" that you get a bunch of responses about how it looks.

Does anyone think he's asking about other people who rode it to get their opinions on how it looks? Looks are easy to see in the pictures you can scour the internet for, what you can't get is how it feels and rides and actual performance issues. That's why you come on forums and ask if anyone owns one and see what their opinions are on that.

This forum has too many people who only care about the looks of a bike rather than the performance.

WE ALL KNOW WHAT THE BIKES LOOK LIKE, LOOKS ARE SUBJECTIVE.

the curbside is the exact same frame as the dispatch- only different wheels and bars. if you want a less annoying looking frame, buy the dispatch and swap the bars

+1. The dispatch has a sexy paint job to boot.

Sexy, and thin (prone to scratches/chips).

None of these paint jobs will matter after cycling through one hard winter. Everything turns gray in the city - everything.

some kid that lives by my bosses house got one, the green is actually really cool (really neon) but he replaced like everything on it (pink deep v's, different bars, cranks, chain, seat)

i would definitely ride that bike, except i would:
1) take off the tt pad. i dont think any bike without drops should have a tt pad... top tubes are meant to get scratched
2) swap the saddle b/c argyle is for golf not bikes
3) swap the bars b/c straight bars are whack

If you take off the toptube pad, will you send it to me? I would like to use it on a barbell for my backsquat at the gym. (This is a serious question, and I'll pay for shipment.)

Cheers.

I ride a Felt Curbside. I changed the seat because the argyle one was uncomfortable. I really like my bike. It has risers now and I changed the crankset after a nasty pedal strike caused a broken tailbone. It's a great bike.

yeah. everyone hates it. i don't understand why (it's no worse than any of the other midrange street bikes out there), but for some reason it's up there with the trek soho s.

asking about bikes here always seems to elicit 90% opinions on what it looks like and less than 10% useful technical insights.
