Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? Anyways I did have a pretty good idea of what it was. But to answer your question I wanted to upgrade and get something allright, my body told me to go with sugino 75. would cost a little more and I probably wouldnt ever need anything else, then I decided I didnt want the japan stuff so I said frig it I will go Italian. Plus I just got like a months worth of paychecks and rent is paid so my cash is burning a hole in my pocket
i bought red sugino 75s for 200, a zen racing chainring for 130, and campy bb for 45 dollars which is significantly cheaper than what youre paying, and that was without even really shopping around for the best price. i also bought a D.I.D chain awhile ago for like 30 dollars and i like it a lot. what bottom bracket are you getting, and what are you primarily using it for?

well seems like you paid about the same amount for your chainring and cranks as I am going to (around 350). The bb I was looking at is the campy record. These are also prices I haven't compared to others and when I go and pick these up at the shop I think they have special group sales that can save you some cash. Anyways my bike how it is now is just for transportation and fun. The goal would be to get to the track in San Jose I heard about and see how I like that.

They were so cheap because they were red and no one likes red parts.

for the record I think OP should go with an Izumi eco chain until he gets a new frame, then slap on a high-end one.
