Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Validation? I was thinking something more like thoughtful insight, but thanks for trying!

OP I have never heard anyone I trusted argue for aerospokes as a reasonable
option for a durable rim for the streets. Someone thought they were cool
at Trackstar NYC and DQM back in the paleolithic of fixed gear riding (a year ago
or something). Then everyone had them and there was a arrospok supply crisis
noted by BSNYC etc. Some people think they are cool. I doubt they are the
most durable, and I know they aren't as repairable as a regular wheel.
Can you replace a broken spoke? Yes. Can you replace a broke arrospoke?
Yes, get a new wheel as required. Do the math.

Yeah, this seems to be the general sentiment. My initial assumption was that if they were extremely difficult to break then yes, they make sense, otherwise there's no way to justify that cost.. thanks for the reply..

Obviously hates them because they're popular-- wouldn't want to be mistaken for someone who like a popular bike, good or bad. People who like bikes that other people like are awful, unforgiveable people in the hipster cyclist world..

It just that most of them end up with the Deep V, top tube pad, and drop stem with risers look.
They aren't unique in the slightest, it's like the cop out for uncreative hipsters.
