Is that a joke? What is going on with that post. What is going on with the drop outs. The rest of it is kinda pretty though.

I'm guessing its a cut to length seat tube like some tri bikes (you can see the graduation markings on it), that stock drop is crazy! Very sexy though.

z50_Jumper 08-26-08 01:05 PM

Going after the LOOK look with all the Fuji stickers.

mugatu 08-26-08 01:09 PM

wow, look at all those changes that make it more of a track bike....how dare they?

z50_Jumper 08-26-08 01:11 PM

Would be cool if they build in an actual seat tube, so that in the future the frame ends up in the hands of the second or third owner and they need that extra adjustability they could hack it all the way down and clamp in a normal post.

Silly hipster, never seen a modern track bike, always snooping around "party foul: please edit"s.

Well at least fuji got it into their heads that their FTPs where being used for tarck tricks like barspinnnz.

Gambutrol 08-26-08 01:32 PM

rear drop outs: 100% removable
seatpost: you cut it down to your size (much like a steerer tube)

pretty awesome, but it looks like they are still using those fat toothpaste welds

except when you hack off a steerer tube you can buy a new fork, measure wrong on the seatpost and NEW FRAME/BIKE..

i know from trying to sell Scott Addict's in the store I worked in that most people prefer traditional seatposts and the weight savings are very minimal..

K_phomma 08-26-08 01:39 PM

This bike should never touch risers.

SeanBonham 08-26-08 01:40 PM

what about this?

looks nice!

You're insane and you fail at trying to be tarck. That modern track bike LOOK won't stop the barspinzz, I'm calling it now. Look what happen with Felts. Soon we'll see kids riding 496's with gold riz0rz.

bdfresh 08-26-08 04:18 PM

i simply like it because of the looks. I think the design is way more advanced towards track use, and i think it will prevent people from tarcking it out. Thats' just my opinion. Im sure we'll see our fair share of HED, riser and TT padded '09 FTP. o well, life goes on.

CitifY 08-26-08 05:55 PM

Ooooohh La La! Very nice! I like. Personally, I would tarck teh **** out of it!

peabodypride 08-26-08 06:02 PM

obligatory "look at that saddle/bar drop!!!111"

loving the look. the old FTPs emulated the concept and could be tarcked out but this looks like one mean track machine! Love the smooth integrated seatpost, the removable drops are fugly but it looks like the whole industry is moving that way.

Glad to see they dropped the piece of sh1t FSA track pros and the ******** two-piece spline and it is now a new FSA one-piece model. I like it a lot.

That classy road bike is also stayin' classy.

peabodypride 08-26-08 06:05 PM

note: the seatpost will require anyone to get a pro fit, making $1500 bike (old bike was $1200) plus $100+ fit (sometimes refundable) + $100 pedals + >=$400 on-track wheels (Mavic Ellipse)... that's one hefty price tag.

+1000000000, hopefully its got spacing for fenders and big tires. Ala proper randonuer bikes.

peabodypride 08-26-08 06:55 PM

man the cross pro looks great too, and only $1300

Jabba Degrassi 08-26-08 06:57 PM

Why's everyone hate replaceable track fork ends? I think they look bad-ass. Pure business.

peabodypride 08-26-08 07:16 PM

Because it adds complexity in a situation where it is not needed. For aluminum frames the steel inserts on the old FTP and Concept work fine, and for steel the nice track ends used by Keirin builders with un-painted steel grip very well.

peabodypride 08-26-08 07:17 PM

Edit to say the only thing I can see them useful for is minor spacing changing, maybe??? it's a far shot. Maybe there is some issue with lateral flex in the dropouts track racers know about but I don't?

Jabba Degrassi 08-26-08 07:19 PM

I dunno, what if you bugger up your fork ends? I think it would be handy to be able to replace them without welding if the situation were to arise.
