there is no way to 'take them apart', so i think so..

p.s. more pictures of my 'fake' bike.
all i can say is wait til khs updates their site for 09, you'll see a 55cm.

ya, im still kinda messing with it.. im 6 feet tall, with a 30in inseam, so the 55 is already kinda streaching it.. i ended up taking the 55 over the 53(which is the bike a actually ordered, there was no 55 at the time..) because of tt length and I had no foot overlap on it. I might be stretched out a little bit(a couple inches at the most) but my knees arent hitting my chest or anything. besides that its nothing that a 50-70mm stem and sadel adjustment wont fix..

davewins, thanks for the pics and info. I'm in the market myself for the 55cm flite 100. What cranks are those? They look clean for stock cranks that aren't sugino. I love the flite just looks ready to go and I love that they have usable tires. I feel like most off the shelf bikes, so many things have to be changed or upgraded immediately before you can even test ride them. The flight 100 complete and steamroller complete are the only two budget stock bikes I can think of for the price that really come complete. I'm sure there are more but those 2 are my favorites.

The more miles you put in, you'll notice that being stretched out "a couple inches at most" is the difference between back pain and no back pain. I can feel the difference in my back when i go from a reach i'm comfortable at to a stem thats 20mm longer. And a couple of inches in reach is the difference between a 90mm stem and a 130mm.

Also, I wouldn't recommend stems as short as 70mm. For me, when stems are that short, steering felt way too twitchy.

Just keep riding it and with trial and error, you'll figure out what's you like and don't like.

Kinda makes me sad to say this but i have NO clue, they appear to be totally blank(ill check in better lighting later tho).. Rotation seems smooth though.
and ya.. bang for the buck is why i went with the khs. i didnt see much else out there for under $600 that was ridable 'out of the box'.

totally! i had a 58cm cannondale r600(TOO BIG!) and that murdered my hands, neck and back.. Sold that sucka and got this :D Like i said.. im workin on it. Seriously thanks for the tip on the stem though, the flite is a tad 'twitchy' as it is, not bad but its no beach cruiser..

checked the crank out today..
the only markings on it say 'driveline' and the number '165'
the chainring says '44t' and thats all

total no name comps..
who knows, maybe they'll switch um up before they really start shipping these things.
