Just bought it yesterday, went to the bike shop with my friend to get his wheel trued and walked out with this... does anyone know if these bars would be good chopped and flipped? furthermore, has anyone had experience with getting rid of lame decals (the poker chips that look like beach balls, the dice and the cards) on flat black frames? i was thinking flat black spray paint maybe 5 light coats but i don't want it to be obviously different than the rest of the frame... any suggestions?

It may be because I really like the look of rigid hardtail mountain bikes but I like the look of sloping toptube road bikes. Funny I see lots of comments critical of the Langsters for having a sloping toptube yet when bikes like a Brooklyn Machine Works Gangsta appears everyone goes all oohh aahh over it.

Keep the Langsters coming

Now I am thinking I need to paint mine, because I don't think I like the decals on my 2008. I really like the white^^^.

Ditto... I HATE the graphics on my Comp... they are lame and busy and gross. I was thinking white too but maybe something different... who knows.

The bars are great, stiff, and I like that they have no drop. The "short" reach section is really perfect for my hands and with the addition of the TT levers, give me 2 hand positions. Bars with longer reach look strange IMHO.

I pieced it together over a long time using parts I had and others I purchased new. I can't guess at what I have spent, because some of the parts I have had for 10+ years. The part list is short however: DA 24h front hub, 28 Superbe pro Rear hub, Record crank/bb, White DOS ENO FW, Pedalsoft Stem/Aerobar, T2 Wing Bar, Tektro Carbon TT Levers, Reynolds Ouzo Pro Fork, Superbe Pro calipers.

The only things I am conteplating about upgrading is the calipers to DA dual Pivots, and maybe a square Taper Campy Crank...... but for the moment, its done.

Anyone have the Seattle version? It's the only one that I've really liked (asides from the S-works).

calipers

I've only put a couple hundred miles on mine. The first few trips out my brake pads sounded like metal on metal. I checked them, and everything looked good. The sound has finally went away, and they seem to work better now.

I ended up replacing them with a pair of black 105s from ebay. I'm now looking for a sliver pair for my Langster London.

i'm going to look into the aero and wing bars, they really look fantastic, i have some bike paths around here that stay relatively empty, i'd love to blaze up them in an aero position :-d
