Singlespeed & Fixed Gear "I still feel that variable gears are only for people over forty-five. Isn't it better to triumph by the strength of your muscles than by the artifice of a derailer? We are getting soft...As for me, give me a fixed gear!"-- Henri Desgrange (31 January 1865 - 16 August 1940)

Photos from Expo Cycle

I was just out in Montreal at Expo Cycle, Canada's Interbike. Saw some cool new fixed gears for 2009. Pics are up at Bicycle Smile.

Surly colors

The one in the foreground is a steamroller, did you happen to catch if that was the only color they are releasing for 2009 steamrollers? One color still? Just curious. Thanks!

Pretty sure that is the only color it comes in. I have the 2009 catalog so I will take a look later and check.

Bikes: LHT

question: on the shimano custom built bike with the wooden rims and amazing frame detail, did they make a chain using only the chain spacers? it's a very odd looking chain, kinda funky but i like it

I guess this Marinoni is something new, a single-speed frame with traditional geometry?

Yeah, I did not see the actual geometry chart for the Strada but it looked a lot more like a street bike.
