I actually put the picture on as a joke because I received so much flak after posting it in the "trade" thread.

I have a few other bikes so I am getting ride of the Wal-Mart bike because I don't like the way it rides. I also don't want to put any money in to it.

I use "photo bucket". You need to upload your picture to an online photo album and then insert the HTML code in your post. The picture will then appear. Or something to that effect.

somegeek 10-01-08 09:30 PM

Disregard the 'HTML Code:'...

HTML Code:

[img]http://www.photobucket.com/blah/blah.jpg[/img]
Put the img tags around the URL... note the / in the img tag at the end.

Thanks, but no easier way like drag/drop or copy/paste? Thx,

somegeek 10-01-08 09:55 PM

Click the yellow icon above the message dialogue entry box and then paste in the URL for the photobucket image.

powerband 10-01-08 10:48 PM

Upload your photos onto www.photobucket.com for free. Then, under that uploaded picture (now on photobucket), copy the "IMG Code." Then paste that code right into the post. The picture will appear.

Good grief that top tube is insanely sloped. It looks like a dirt jumper frame.

It is actually a Dawes Lightning. This is the British Dawes and I think the bike is from the 70s or so. Reynolds though. I have yet to get it on a scale, but the thing weighs next to nothing. My other bike is a Surly Long Haul Trucker and it makes this bike feel like I am riding on air.

That Dawes is exceptional.

Thanks. Picked it up off craigslist. Some guy restored it, then realized it was too small. It is absolutely beautiful, and since getting it, I have rarely ridden my road bike. Fixed is where it is. I don't have to think about anything other than the ride.

The track bars kill my hands, so I will post another photo when I get the drops on. This bike is just right.

Thanks for the support.
