Need SS roller advice.

I'm thinking about getting the Performance 85mm rollers for the winter. Right now I'm running 39x16 because anything more kills my knee on long climbs. I know you need wheel speed to be stable on rollers, but I don't know to what extent. I could always throw a 13t cog on the flop side for the winter for ~80 gear inches. Will this give me enough resistance for a good workout or will I just be spinning me ass off? Never been on rollers.

I rode 42/16 on my rollers last winter and thought there was more resistance than riding on the road. I can only spin on them for 5 or 10 minutes at a time before I need to take a breather. I guess I'm a wuss.

i might be alright then. i'm a wuss too

it depends on how large the rollers cylinders are. the smaller the cylinder, the harder it will be, running a 39 16 will certainly be good for helping you improve your cadence

Yeah, I know roller diameter matters. I'm just not sure where 85mm falls in the range.

oh, sorry. misinterpreted the question. I think that 85 mm are kind of middle of the road, but i am not totally sure
