Down town at the trolley station, about 4 miles in, if that. Nice weather.

i spent the first 18 years of my life in northwestern illinois. we got the worst of both summer and winter. then i moved to boston for the last 4 years. now, i live in california, where it's pretty much nice all the time. i kinda hate it as there's really nothing to make you appreciate the really nice, warm days...there's no contrast...oh sure, sometimes it "rains." but it never rains for like, two weeks straight like it does in boston in the spring time...that first sunny day when the rain stops is like heaven...all you want to do is get out and ride ride ride!
