i am participating in my 5th AIDS Life Cycle ride. Its a bicycle ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles. Its an amazing event.

This year I have made the decision to do the ride fixed!!!

The money donated goes towards AIDS awareness and AIDS prevention.

I love doing this event every year. This year im starting my fundraising events as early as possible to ensure that I meet my $3000 goal. Any donations that you guys can spare would be great. All donations can be used as a tax write off if that matters to anyone.

before even opening this thread, i saw OP's username and thought to myself, "i bet that's a guy".

dear lucas: your username is stupid. please change it. unless you don't want to be taken seriously here, in which case, carry on.

I'm participating as well, though not riding fixed.

I'm interested in doing this as well. It will be my first time. How hard is it going to be on a fixed gear? or maybe i'll flip the wheel and go single speed? Just wondering if I need to get a geared road bike for this?
