I want the job as that kid. I've been doing freelance web design for several years and I'm going to be taking the A+ certification exams in a little while. Too bad I'm like 5 states away...

probably not, I'm 5' and am uncomfortable on a 49cm bike I have.

by the way, I was there Saturday, and it was awesome.. Tony is super nice and cut me a really good (like, REALLY good) deal on my new Heidi frame and wheelset. I plan on supporting him lots more in the future. he had lots of bikes to ride around the mini mountain bike trail (including his own) and plenty of good stories. oh and his goats are pretty great too.

I just ordered a 58 Rob Roy. I hope it comes through.

I can't thank Tony enough for this awesome deal. I'm definitely going to buy something from him in the future due to his generosity.

These deals are insane! Too bad I missed almost all of them. I really wanted to go to the pig roast too. Tony, this is really damn cool of you to do.

I believe that, one day, IRO will get their act together one of these days, and we'll all love them again.

Very lame. I waited all last night trying to get a bike but the site was down. Now everything is pretty much sold out. I'm never going to get a new bike...

No offense but what kind of job are you going to get with an A+ cert that you can't already get? It's not worth your money.

Yes, he is. The Customer Appreciation Day was a good time. Tony said that IRO will be coming out with an internally geared model next spring (I believe). He said shops on the West Coast had been asking for them -- and it's still a single cog.

Heh, yep, out of nearly everything now. Think a seatpost is worth $32.75 in shipping?

Just got my v1 build kit last thursday. I wanted to get the Rob Roy frame but it didn't work out so they just sent me the build kit. It included a sugino bottom bracket, izumi 1/8 chain, 17th cog and lock ring, and a set of 165mm sugino rd's with a 44t messenger chain ring. I'm so stoked. Not bad for paying a little over 20 bucks, including shipping.

good for you, he was weird when i followed up on the phone a few days after. claimed the site went down and he lost a ton of orders. then he said they were all out of rob roys and he might contact me sometime in the future to see if i wanted anything... so we'll see. anyone else have this experience? if nothing comes of it, no problem. it just seems weird that the website would have gone down and a bunch of orders lost, if he was able to look up my order and there wasn't any announcement about that on the site.

Well if the site crashed maybe that's why I didn't get my $17 headset yet. I've been lazy about calling, after all I live about an hour away from the shop so it shouldn't take this long for my order.

Unless maybe Tony is personally walking over to my house.

I ordered a Jamie Roy from them a couple years ago. Told them over the phone I wanted a black bike, silver rims and spokes. Opened the box and was shocked! White bike, black wheels and spokes. Eh??? Every dollar I gave him had 100 pennies.

Dag, that's incredible, and I didn't even know about it... I'm kind of bummed to find out after spending another 100 on my horrible conversion to fix it up that they were pretty much giving out frames just around the same time.
